You may remember a few weeks ago, when we posted about The Debt Cycle and How to Earn 16% on Your Money (Part 1). There was so much feedback from this important video post that we thought we should do a follow-up – describing just what the process is!
The secret is in understanding what the percentage means. The minimum average interest rate on debt is 16% right now – and certainly likely to rise. If you pay off that debt, you’ll be keeping the money you would have been paying in interest. Every dollar you’re not paying to the bank, or the credit card, is now your return on investment (ROI) – which is guaranteed because there is no speculation or risk involved here. That’s the financial world’s dirty little secret: You’re much better off being the lender than the debtor. But you’ve been tricked by the system into being a debtor by justifying debt with, “I can write it off!” and other tax scheme gimmicks – like “I want it now, I can afford payments.”

Excellent video, thanks for sharing. I recall hearing something similar to this in a Crow Financial seminar for paying down debt.
I am presently being taught lessons through experience. Through them all God is showing himself faithful.
I am gaining a greater appreciation for money and seeing how much has been wasted through the years.
I recently sold a boat, an extra guitar, two guns (that I had not used in twenty years) and a few other things to eliminate some debt.

Thank you for this video! It’s freeing to know the greatest investment we can make doesn’t go up and down with the market.
I haven’t bought the War on Debt yet but have listened to Dani and we have paid off over $3600.00 in 4 mths and am going to be able to pay off another $1500.00 within the next month and we were able to take a short vacation to see our son in CA and pay cash and also we are going to be able to take a trip back home and pay cash.
My next step is to go through the books that I have accumulated and see about selling them and selling some jewelry that I have that I do not wear and see what I can get for that.
I have learned that I do not need stuff. I want to be debt free and save money.
