This is a message that completely changed my life when I studied it. The more I studied it, the more I came into this monster revelation: I would not be who I am today had I not heard this particular parable…
Check this out…Matthew 25, Verse 14 – 26. “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey who called his servants and entrusted his property to them. To one he gave five talents of money. To another he gave two talents. To another he gave one talent, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more. So also the one with two talents gained two more, but the man who had received one talent went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.
“After a long time, the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. The man who had received the five talents brought the other five. “Master,” he said. “You entrusted me with the five talents. See? I have gained five more.” His master replied, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful with the few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness.” The man with the two talents also came. “Master,” he said, “You entrusted me with two talents. See? I have gained two more.” His master replied, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful with the few things. I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness.” Then the man who had received the one talent came. “Master,” he said, “I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown, gathering where you have not scattered seed. So I was afraid and went out and hid your talent in the ground. See? Here’s what belongs to you.”
“His master replied, “You wicked, lazy servant. So you know that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed. Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest. Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has ten talents. For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him, and throw the worthless servant outside into darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
I want you to discover which of the three servants you are, and how do you get promoted out of the position that you’re in right now.
Do you want to be promoted? Then follow these 5 points.
1. God is the promoter. He sees what you do and don’t do, if you’re doing it with a spirit of excellence, if you’re doing it diligently, and who you’re doing it for. If it’s all for your recognition, then it’s all in vain.
2. All three servants got something “according to their ability.” Have you ever raised your ability? Who is in charge of the ability department? You! What do you do if you don’t have ability? Get yourself trained and equipped so that you can go get it!
3. He leaves and he comes back a long time later. Why did he give them the talents and then leave? He wanted to see what they were going to do with them. He wanted to see who was going to step up.
Let’s Look at the first servant, who was given five… What did he do?
- He left at once and invested the money, and he doubled the money!
- He was so grateful for the opportunity to go out there and do something. You’ve been given a chance to succeed. Are you grateful for it?
- He did it immediately and with a spirit of excellence. If you were honest would you say that you have not quite given your business the spirit of excellence that you know you should?
- He trusted his master’s character.
Let’s look at servant number two. He did the same thing as number one…
- He went out immediately and he doubled his profits.
- He didn’t whine about only receiving two talents. He did NOT say, “You know what? He got five, and I only got two! I always get the short end of the stick.”
- He did not make a comparison.
- He knew who the promoter was, so he went out and he gave it his best shot. That’s how you get promoted.
Now let’s look at my favorite servant, number three.
- He dug a hole and he buried his talent. “And he hid the Lord’s money.” Whose money? The Lord has entrusted you with an amount. Are you taking care of it, and are you investing it wisely, or are you blowing it?
- He hid the talent. It says, “I hid the talent because I was afraid.” Why aren’t you using YOUR talents?
- He was absolutely ungrateful for what he was given.
- He did not know the character of his master. Do you know the character of YOUR master? The first two KNEW the character of their master. The last one did not know the character of his master and, therefore, did a wicked thing. All three servants were being tested for a promotion. TWO took a risk and made an INCREASE. The third servant did NOT past the test.
4. Use your gifting or your talent for God’s glory! Have you been given a gift and you’re using it for your own glory and recognition? That was me for a lot of years. I used my gifting for my fame and it was wrong and it was empty. The Bible says that whatever you do to gain recognition from man, you have already received your reward IN FULL, and there is NOTHING for you after that.
5. Do NOT hide it because of fear of man! Have you hidden your gift and talent because of rejection of man?
The Bible says, “Many are called but few are chosen.” You were chosen to do something great. Have you belittled the gift or talent that God gave you? Do you compare it to somebody else’s or have you taken a RISK on the talent that you’ve been given?
I was not born with the five. I was born with one, and the one thing I had was a spirit of excellence. I was born with the desire to give it my best. The same God that promoted me wants to promote you. And if I can come from under a rock to becoming an internationally known success coach with a multi million-dollar business, then what are you waiting for?

This is one of my favorite parts of scriptures : For everyone that has(skill with money) will be given more, and he will have an abundance, Whoso does not have (Skill with money) even what he has will be taken from him.

You hit the nail on the head for me. I have been the last servent but now I am going to increase my abilities so I AM that number one servant.
Many people want increase but some don’t know how to do these things and others, if they knew, would fail to have the commitment to see it through.

Please i have been widowed,i built a flat on my daughter’s property since my husband passed away.She has asked me to move elsewhere as she cannot stand my “faith in God”(watching TBN all the time)etc.I had health problems which has led to financial problems.I now have to find work desperately but dont quite know how to get out of this negative financial setback.I use to make costume jewellery for my daughter as she exports and sells to boutiques, but now i do not have work.I am also nail technician and tried working from home but somehow could not get clientele building up.
If it was not that expensive i would have sold my car to come to South America but i do not have the finances to stay there etc. to be able to attend your workshops. At age 54years this is not where i had envisaged myself – without my husband and now having my daughter not wanting me around.

When God talks about prosperity and being rich… God talks about the riches and prosperity of the heart… Knowing and loving God is not about becoming more rich in finance… The poor are God’s Trust and Holy servants for they are detached from the earthly and material gains of this world that will pass… If you are a believer in the true God then believe in the riches of your hearts and let your heart rejoice in prosperity of the sprit, for that is what will bring you happiness… Not material wealth! If God desires you to be rich then He will make you so… if however yo are poor and you strive everyday just to become rich, aren’t you missing the true beauty of your life? and the moments you could rejoice in being happy you chose not to be, all because you were poor… Dont waste your life in misery because you do not have the desired wealth you wish… If you have food and a shelter over your head, then you are of the lucky people to be living in such a wicked and painful world taht others endure every day… God does not test anyone beyond their capacity… And sometimes living life in financial difficulty is just a test! And if we can live that test with pure hearts and be spiritually HAPPY despite this… then YOU are the chosen ones of God.. ANd if you happen to find financial gain in this world then so be it and God still wants and hope that you can be spiritually HAPPY with all those material riches…
Danni’s talk is inspirational… Dont get confused about the intention and purpose of her talk. Anyone can be rich, however can anyone be rich and still be spiritually happy? and can anyone be poor and still be spiritually happy? The most important riches God wants for his servants are the riches of the heart… Please dont forget this!
