    Hello Dani!
I just got through watching “Secret Millionaire”. What a WONDERFUL person with a HUGE HEART!!! I could feel your pain and your love with every person you met, worked with, shared with your time, and blessed with your good fortune. I like many others in this world could use money to pay off my bills, buy myself my dream vehicle…a RX330 Lexus, or just to help make ends meet, but I’m NOT here for myself. I just have one request…PLEASE help the ANIMALS. Everyday thousands of dogs and cats are put to sleep just because they don’t have someone to take and love them. From time to time my heart breaks when I hear of animals of all kinds that are neglected, tortured, beaten, burned, starved, made to live out in the cold, or killed for no reason. As good as people are in this world like yourself, they can be that bad. I love what you do and the heart and compassion you have. I guess I would like to ask one more favor of you. If you can use your good fortune and connections to help change the legislation to make much tougher rules and laws where animals are concerned…especially when people do bad things to animals out of meanness. I’ve always wanted to help animals and will be volunteering shortly but I lost 5 dogs within the last 2 years that were my life or very close to my heart and it’s taken me until now to be able to say I can be around a lot of dogs (which are my passion) to help them without breaking down. I want to say thank you for who you are and what you do!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
    Sincerely,
    Tammy Leggett, Wilson, NC

I could see the hope in those peoples eyes as you just gave them such a warming gift of apprication for all they do . I am glad to see there are people like you that still exist in the cold world . Not very many people whould sare their wealth in such a positive way as you just did . We have a non-profit organization that allows hadicapped and mentally ill kids to come and hunt here in ohio with their familys . If you get the time to read about us maybe you could pass the word around for our foundation so more people would check us out . The website is http://www.rineswhitetailfoundation.com I appricate you taking the time to read this and we need more people in the world to start sharing and caring with organizations that help out our communities. I watched Secret Millionaire last night and I was in tears. Dani is a phenomenal woman. She is selfless and inspiring to others. For those of us who feel like we should be doing more or that something is missing in our lives, it is the giving of ourselves to others through volunteering. It costs us nothing, but the rewards are limitless. I haven’t volunteered in over 20 years, my children do and I will be joining them. Thanks Dani and God bless you and your family.

Again Dani you got my heart – I shared with many to watch the program – young and old! We can make a difference – one person at a time! I’ve been volunteering with Dress A Girl Around the World … making dresses out of PILLOW CASES for little girls around the world. These dresses not only make them feel loved and cared for BUT more importantly they are helping protect them from potential sexual abuse. Little girls with torn or tattered clothing in 3rd world countries will be abused … it sends a message she isn’t being cared for .. we can stop it with a simple pillow case (or sheet or any material the size of a pillow case … from little to king size) check out http://www.dressagirlaroundtheworld.com It started in Oct 09 and in 1st year, ladies around the country made & delivered 10,116 dresses to 27 countries! Goal this year is 50,000 … get a little group together and have a ‘sew fest’ … your heart will be captured!

My name is Nanette Smith. And; I have been receiving E-mails; from Dani, for several years. Although, I regretibilly (not sure; how, you spell this word), did not think; to check in to Danl’s E-mails, until just recently. I have, heard of her; though, for many many years. I have an issue, of a magazine of Home Business Connection, which; she is in. And; I watched her; last night, on the “Secret Millionaire” show, and could not BELIEVE; what a woman, she really is. She learned about, how the poverty stricken people, have to live and do live. And; we are; almost, to that point. I never; wanted to be, like this. My parents; are RICH. But; they made me live, like someone, who barely can make it through, there own life. I cannot get a job. No one; will hire me. I completed school; which, I wonder; if, that was even, a good idea. Because, we know; many many people, who did not, finish school; who now have good jobs. And; these people, also; have records. But; they are working. We do have some, HANDICAPS, DISABILITIES and BIRTH DEFECTS. But; we didn’t make it; this far, in life; because, we did not know how. I basically, left home; when, I was still, in the eleventh grade. So; I could get to a job, I did have, back then. But; to work there; you had to be, on medications. and go to a MENTAL HEALTH CENTER. But; now, I am overqualified. I scored a 98% out of 100; on an COGNITIVE TESTING. But; they have, always; labeled me, as not knowing, anything. I proved them wrong. I have been labeled as BLIND. I am, anything; but. Or, I could not type this message. I have been told; I know, nothing about COMPUTERS: but, yet, I am on one; every single day. I have taken COMPUTER CLASSES and COURSES.
I would like to work. But; my husband, will not; let me do, what I want to do. He will not, let me; go to school; either. We have been married; almost 24 years. We have a daughter; who is almost 22!!! She was not born with; any of our issues. They made us, take her to a school; for kids, with DOWN SYNDROME or CEREBRAL PALSY. She (as well as us); do not, have any of those things, either. It is unreal, what we have had to go through, in our lives. My husbands, health; is not too good, these days. We have been, misjudged; by so many people.
I would love to have a different life; than, I have had to live, these 43 years. And; my husband is 56!!!! If, we can change our lives, that would be, a miracle.

You are among the few that when life handed you lemons, although bitter-sweet, you found many ways to turn those lemons into gold. What you have to teach us is priceless, and not to be missed. I have personally wasted a lot of $$$ throughout the years on so-called-guru/programs. Looking for the right IM/affiliate programs, what a waste!

If I had listened to an aquaintance years back when he told me about you, my life would have been different today, I just though, yeah another entrepreneur, and I never bothered to check your site. But you know what, everything happens for a reason, I found you again on Sunday by mistake, it was ment to be. Dani,
Just finished listening to your Hidden Money . you are a very outstanding person and tells it like it is. I like that. You are a rare person.
You hit home on alot of points. I am in business for myself, but work retail. I come from a retail family and know how it was to have to figure out how to make things work. I saw my parents work very hard to make sure I would be the strong person after they were gone. I miss them. I think that I trailed off from their words of wisdom a bit. I give it my best shot.
I needed that shot of go for it again, guess what you did it. I have supportive friends and family ,but sometimes it takes someone on the outside to give that kick , that close friends might not want to give.
By the way, I am in Knoxville. I knew exactly where you were. I can tell you that since the airing that The Joy of Music and Special Spaces have had their phones ringing and out pouring of wanting to help from all over. Helen and Ellen were recently in the hospital with the flu. they are recoving well, but Ellen had to go back in for something but should be coming home this week. Wanted to let you know.

    Hans,

Please tell me of some contributions, not to family or friends but to other entities that were not tax deductible? I feel if you want to empower people to be the best that they can be, the information should be free. However, I understand this is strictly a for profit business but $99 for most of your materials is a lot to make from thousands of people. You all are similiar to Joel Olsteen and his greedy wife. Using the name of God to further your wealth. People us the name of God when their name is no good.

    • Liz March 10, 2011
      reply

If one wants to read something that will empower them to be the best that they can be, then one should read the book of Proverbs, and it’s FREE! I am not a religious person, but I do believe that there is a God of my understanding, and if that works for me and others, so be it. It seems that some people listen open-mindedly, in one ear and out the other…what is so great in what Dani, Hans and so many others are doing, is that they have learned that in the giving is the receiving. Life may be free, but living it, is not! It’s wonderful to see so much compassion in another human being, toward others, something that is missing from many, especially in a world that is so full of hate and bitterness. And no, I am not putting Dani on a pedestal, that’s already reserved. But, whatever I can learn and implement it to better my life and help me get out from under, it’s my gain and not my loss!! That’s what Good about Great Teachers that Care about Others. Don’t ever give up, it’s in your hands, you just can’t see it…for now.

LOL I had to laugh about the heater stuff… we only have 4 heaters in our whole house and our house it 1400 square feet, but I tell you it greats really really cold in it when the temp is -20 …

I complain all the time about it because it’s so cold in our house until we get the wood stove going .. when it’s below -20 I turn up the heat when we are not home because I don’t want the water pipes to freeze but then I start to freak out when the bill gets above 150$ a month… unfortunately there are a few months the coldest months of the year it’s between 150-180 a month and I can’t do anything about it.. we have to have shoes on all winter long because the floors are so cold it makes your body ach… :-( I hate winter… UGH

What i am struggling with is the food budget .. that’s where I struggle.. sometimes it’s over 600 a month veggies and fruit is what kills us here it’s so expensive to get any of that especially during the winter months here I. One head of lettuce is sometimes as much as $4.00 and they are small :-( it’s so sad….. and not to mention 4 pieces of chicken is around $10 so I know you say not to buy bulk but I do buy that bulk I can get enough fresh chicken breast to do us over 9 months for about $150 so I freeze it it’s much cheaper that way.. and we do use it all… 

anyway LOVE YOU DANI…. Thanks again for doing these Monday Night Calls.

xoxo to you and your family…

      Doldena,
I would like to ask which part of the country your in?

I used to live in a house of relative size with wood floors and it was cold weather as well, so I can relate.
You may be better off to do a few things. I realize they are semi expensive and will take some saving $ but I also have another possible solution also.
You can get carpets with 1″ padding under to help insulate the floors. You could also look into heated flooring. The heated flooring would also help to keep the rooms warmer.
Sometimes Carpet Companies will rip out carpet that is still in great shape simply because the customer wanted something new. Sometimes they are getting rid of old stock and it didn’t sale. They throw it away! Check with some flooring stores AND Installers that subcontract for them. Also, explain your situation and they might help you! It may not be totally free but they have the power to discount it all substantially!
I know this because I used to work with several companies that do flooring. I know what average mark up is also.

Secondly, sounds like your home might need new insulation? Go to your community center and see if they offer any weatherization help. Some areas do and for free. They will re-insulate, re-caulk and do many other things that help your drafts and heating/cooling costs.

As far as food costs, 4 things for starters: you might be better to order some of that online from providers for cheaper. You can join a co-op where several families go in together with the grocery list, costs and buy in bulk then separate it.
If your community has a community garden go work in it for the spring- fall months. You plant it, weed it, pick it, etc.. Here, they take leftovers or excess and give it to the food pantries to be given away. The thing you need to remember is that it is for a community not just yourself.
Learn to can or freeze these goods. That is a great $ saver also and really doesn’t take too much.

      Hope this helps!

I share your vision… I have done it on a much smaller scale but I would LOVE to enlarge it as you have. I have worked with the homeless. I lived on the cold concrete streets as a teenager. I will work with who will listen and learn and give. One person, he was on the streets, moved into a shelter and now is in a one bedroom apartment. I taught him how to Mystery Shop. The library is free to use computers, James was able to schedule each shop online, he can take the city bus to the location to do the shop and then return to the library to enter the shop and get paid through PayPal connected to a checking account or savings account. I have taught adults how to read at the Martin Luther King Library at San Jose State University downtown San Jose. I have felt stupid before and know that each and every one of us has a strength or the ability to learn and I am grateful to God for the ability I have to work. You seem to have it figured out much better than I, but I continue to grow. Thank you for your time and words.
