As the premiere of the last chapter of the Batman Trilogy showed across the nation on Thursday night, one Colorado town faced an unthinkable tragedy that left 12 people dead and dozens more injured. In the midst of chaos, horror, and sorrow, there are many questions left unanswered. The recurring theme: How do we respond? So sad, and to think my soon to be 20 yr old was with friends at the local theater 40 miles away. My prayers go out to everyone involved.
Violence is the norm for our kids today. They are numb to it because of the movies, music and our leaders promoting violence as a way resolve problems.
I live in a state that allows guns. I know that if that had happened in my state that the shooter himself would be dead and the tragedy would have had many less victims. The idea that the people in that theater were helpless to defend themselves made me sick to my stomach.
Also I just visited tonight with a man in his 30′s who said the movie itself is 3 hrs long and it is VERY VERY DARK and only the last 20 mins has hope! There was also a scene in the movie that was similar to what the shooter actually did!!!!! How can we keep watching this stuff and not be surprised that it is effecting our minds?
Texas has concealed hand gun owners, Texas is working on taking our nation back as a
‘country’ again for this very type of thing. The kids are so caught up these days on all of tese horrible things. Most don’t even have a clue of hope, Jesus much less parents that are there available for them. So much to say, so sad. I just pray for everyone that breathes air for safety and their life, salvation in Jesus.
So true Lana — The South has a higher percentage of people who attend church — some states as much as 40%. Colorado has a very low percent – about 5% attend church. We need to pray!!!
Wowhad no idea about the percentage of church attendance. I’m of course in the Bible belt area, but I was basically raised in the church so this doesnt even compute in my mind at all. Yes we do need prayer as a naion.
I am a brand new Holistic Health Couselor and we haved been o dumbed down by the media, government,etc that we arent supposed to think for ourselves about anthing. We need to go back to the Bible. And I read on lot of fb sites where so few believe in God an it really blows my mind of the way peope live. OH it just breaks my heart totally. I am praying for our nation regularly and for our children. So many kids have been left to themselves for to long. I chose to be a SAHM while my kids were little and only worked PT so that one of the parents could always be available for them. THEY WERE OUR responsiblity and NO ONE ELSES! I see so manysad, lonely children everywhere. They are now 27, 24, neary 20. Fixing to start reading Grooming the Next Generation now. Finishing Sprit riven Success now!

This jack ass – is just digging himself a Spot in Hell – and the sooner he gets there the better we’ll all be – along with all those of his REGIME. He quotes – REVELATION – about heaven which is about the closest he’ll ever come – but in many of his speeches quotibg and twisting scripture – look real close at hidden agenda – GOD HELP US – but there subtle context – of proclamation of DIVINETY – a type of great savior or false messiah! MORE LIKE A DICTATOR! Creating problems of all sorts – oil spills BP – insensive plan – unemployment – mor government jobs and control – crushing small business – for Unions and Corps. – break the medical backbone – collaspe the ecomony of the USA -
so he can save us all – a line of B—-S—!! That sadly a great majority of well meaning Africo – American again – sadly due to skin color and race – are support a second term – for this idiot – who stealing TAX PAYER BLIND and will continue unless physcially stopped! IMPEACHED or wahtever it takes!
Now about the shooter – I live in San Diego – where he comes from – Not – being noted is he went to TEIRREA SANTA HIGH SCHOOL – INVOLVED IN A SHOOTING LIKE COLBINE HIGH SCHOOL A SHORT DISTANCE FROM THE THEATER – PLUS HE PLANNED AND PLOTTED THIS!
THE IRONICAL THING – IS HEARING ALL THE CHRISTIAN BEWILDERED AND WONDERING WHAT HAPPENED! YET THEY THEMSELVES COULDN’T WAIT TO SEE THIS BATMAN FILM/MOVIE – WHICH ALLTHE SERIES BREED VIOLENCE AND DESTRUCTION AND FIGHTING CRIME – ALONG WITH ALL THE HORROR FILMS – STEPHEN KING TYPE MOVIES AND YET WE’RE SUCKED INTO THIS STUFF – ALONG WITH ALL THE OTHER HOLLYWOOD CRAP WE CLAMPER TOO – AS CHRISTIANS – EVEN JAY AND JORDAN SKELOW CHRISTIAN INT’L ATTY – EVEN YOU AND YOUR FAMILY – COULDN’T WAIT TO GO SEE THIS NEW BATMAN FILM – SAID THAT SHOULD BE THE HIGHEST PROFITTING FILM IN AWHILE! Did we all forget the last BATMAN – film DARK KNIGHT – with the Pyscho – JOKER – played by HEATH LEDGER -( also a GAY COWBOY in BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN) – he took is life – winning and ACADEMY AWARD for his sick character role – we call good evil and evil good. I’m SAG/AFTRA – I turn down alot of crappy roles – yet I still attempt to witness my faith in JESUS CHRIST MY LORD – SAVIOR – KING AND FRIEND! WAke up – this shooting – will get worse and more intense for the mind is desperately wicked who can know it? What about prayer. I want you to know God woke me up i went to prayer room in Colorado. i did not know why God wanted me to pray. if God woke me up who else did God wake up. I prayed not just lightly but as a worrier. 12:30 am till 5:30am Sunday morning after church i went and prayed with family’s & friends. I continue to pray for these family’s for anger, hate every time i cpray i send them a text so they know some one that is there.
