Kids stress is caused by what they see on TV. If you think of the tv shows back in the 50’s (Mayberry, Leave it to Beaver, Brady Bunch, I Love Lucy) no violence, no rape, no sexual content. I can’t even imagine how confused and stressed I would have been growing up seeing the shows that are on TV now (even DAYTIME shows!)

We also have to be careful on what example we are providing – what fears are we communicating even if we don’t know it. Our kids what our every move and listen to the words we are speaking from our mouths….I know for myself I was asleep at the wheel for a while not thinking of the impact my words and actions had on my kids –I was too busy just getting through the day to day and forgetting to encourage them daily to think outside the box and dream big. and not watching my actions and words. Thank you Dani for my wake up call three years ago! You have been an amazing coach and mentor providing step by step instructions on how to improve my relationship with my kids and spouse, get out of debt and increase my influence on my job. For those of you listening that are feeling stuck and looking for a way out of what ever you are dealing with, join me this weekend in St. Louis at First Steps to Success!

Hi Dani, Thanks for the call and the quote –

“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face… The danger lies in refusing to face the fear, in not daring to come to grips with it… You must make yourself succeed every time. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
