Can you imagine the sheer joy you would experience when you watch your child read on her own for the first time? Or the excitement and satisfaction you would share when he understands a new concept? With an ever-increasing number of families choosing to homeschool their children, you just can’t help but wonder why? What is it about homeschooling that appeals to parents? Of course there are plenty of concerns to consider when deciding whether to send your children to public school, private school, or to homeschool.

We have homeschooled 4 of our five boys – not all the way through though. Still homeschooling our youngest who is 13 and we love it. My husband was a bit skeptical when I presented it to him years ago but now he sings the praises of it and has seen the fruit it has produced!
YESSSSS finally I am home early!!! i can be here live with the best people ever!!!
So excited you decided to do a show on this topic!!
WOW!! That hr. went by way too fast! Thanks Dani & guests, y’all did a great job!! God bless y’all for sharing!
I was looking forward to this call as I am always eager to learn from those that paved the way before me in this area! We are in year 3 of homechooling and could not be happier. We took a year to research and interview those whom we saw had great success on the pro’s and con’s of homeschooling prior to our decision.
My husband and I felt felt led by the Lord in our decision and 2 verses kept coming to mind – Proverbs 22:6 & Deuteronomy 11:19. Stepping out in faith and obeying the command placed on my heart, I quit my full time sales career (I made VERY good money) and got to work with the kids and the Lord has blessed us in such a mighty way.
My formerly ADHD labeled son is now 2 years ahead of his grade level as he has been able to blossom for who he is and the skill sets given to him by the Lord. The overall growth in regard to self confidence and knowing who they are in Christ is AMAZING! The home business has grown by 600% (with no cap on growth in site) and our marriage is better than ever as we are not stepping on each others toes in regard to what our roles are in the marriage.
Our experience with public school equated to sending them to Caesar everyday and then trying to repair the damage each night. There is so much joy in seeing that development rather than hearing about it and some days you may end up in the prayer closet seeking guidance (more than a few times) and that is OK!!
Both parents MUST be on board with a solid plan for success with room for flexibility. The process has been life changing for us and we can’t wait to experience all that is before us on this journey.

Your comment about Caesar rings so true. You would love Voddie Baucham’s, Children of Caesar DVD–amazing speaker with great insight.
@Erin: Our experience with public school equated to sending them to “Caesar” everyday
Me: LOL! Yeah, I understand. I have a 14 year old and I don’t even want to begin of what Im going through.
We home schooled our 2 eldest all the way to Running Start where they graduated with both a high school diploma and an AA Degree concurrently. Our firstborn daughter, is in her third year of theology at college and our fist born son is a Marine. We have four more at home and they enjoy being taught to love learning and to teach themselves: especially in the areas where they are most gifted. We enjoy encouraging them in the gifts they have. We began when it was alot less popular, in 1994. We connected to others who had experience and got plugged into a homeschool group to network with and socialize.
Hi dani, Thankyou soo so much for this post and all its contributors its fantastic to know that there are actually some real moms and dads out there who are doing all they can to instill in there children a deep love of learning, a deep love of life and teaching their babies how to build skill sets that allow them to take themselves wherever they want to go…no limits… investigating life courageously with purpose and great joy.
Bless you all massively and all your educating!

hi Dani, This is Lijo Abraham”s wife Annie. Was just listening to Homeschooling. Thank you so much for sharing. Homeschooling is something new to me and my husband. We are Indians residing in Oman. So our two daughter go to the private Indian school which has all HIndu values. to seventh grade and fourth grade. I have been upset and frustrated with the system of education and the teachers. I was lloking for some system that could help my children so they could be groomed to success. And after listening to you i am sure homeschooling is the right one for my children as we are Christian believers. I did not want my children to be exposed to the wrong teaching on creation and evoluton and teaching kids krishna is God etc. And the peer pressure they have to go through. Listening to your guests has given me the boldness to go ahead.
Being in Oman i have’nt heard of home schoolers. i did google to search for home schooling groups. I have no idea where to start and how to go about it . I am sure the Lord will lead me the kind of curriculum my children would need.
Dani you are a blessing to many. We have already recieved “grooming your next generation to sucess” and “Cold prospecting scripts”. Now watitng for “Magnetic Influence” and another book.
God bless you and your family in a greater way. Hope to meet you in person one day.
Annie
