We have on our hands a national health crisis, a widespread epidemic, and the evidence is everywhere we look. America has become the #1 most overweight nation in the world. Not only do we have obese adults, but we are now raising a generation of overweight children. The statistics are shocking, and the effects of this epidemic are nothing short of astonishing. Weigh in on the discussion on Wednesday, March 21 at 11:15am-12:15pm CT.

weight loss is an important factor in health – just as well as weight gain we as people are unhealthy. the vast amount of foods we consume are consuming us. why are we so accustomed to eating what is so easy to eat v. what is healthy for us? I have a friends who in 5 months lost over 60 pounds after the understood this truth. He has gone on a rampage to change the lives of those both over and under weight, getting them to a place when their self image is exactly where they want to be. I am so glad that you all are willing and eager to create a healthier life. I enjoy connecting with like minded people – add me on facebook so we can connect!

My friends Shannon and Holly have together dropped 90lbs after Shannon was diagnosed as pre diabetic. Understanding how our created bodies were designed to work and operate to their fullest potential unleashes the desire to get back to that place of optimal nutrition focusing on a low glycemic diet. Once you understand the how and the what, the weight is removed…not lost, cause what was lost can be found again. This is an issue very close to my heart, as I too have lost nearly 30 lbs and 5 inches. I was headed the wrong direction and changed my path to be healthy and fit after nearly losing my life to a blood clot in my lungs at age 39.

I have found that most people have no clue that what they are eating, and their lifestyles are the factors behind their weight gain. We are in a fast food, fast paced, have it your way nation….and most people are so busy they are eating their way to their graves without even knowing because the media makes them believe that those fast foods are now healthy. The answer is not in shakes, pills or potions! Those companies are just padding their pockets…mainly because people do not want to make any changes. Most of these companies tell them to eat as they like, just take our product. they dont tell them they will still have clogged arteries, and other problems…People need to understand the logistics of their foods, sodas, processed things, etc and learn how to overcome.

Dani, I don’t want to be a grasshopper anymore. I am fifty pounds overweight, with moderate persistant asthma, endometriosis, and skin problems. I have bad health. Any tips on how to lose weight? Also, my dream is to be a Mama. I met my husband five years ago on a Catholic Singles website. We have been trying to concieve for five years without success. We’ve been to doctors, tried to lose weight, and tried everything. No baby. I feel very sad and discouraged. I suffer from the spirits of gluttony, infertility, and discouragement. Could you please pray for me? Please? I am not sure how to pray and make my dream of being a Mama come true! I need to make more money so we can afford adoption. How can I make that come true? My birthday is coming up on Aug. 2nd. I will be 46 years old. Could you please pray for me to lose weight, for an increase in faith, and be able to be a Mama? My heart and arms ache to hold a child! Hope to hear from you! I have been praying to be a Mama for many years, but so far my prayers have been unanswered. What should I do? Also, where can I get a Bible? Thank you so much for any prayer, encouragement, ect. you can give me! I really appreciate it! I am so tired of being overweight, in bad health, and no children. :(

Praying hard that you will see this prayer request and be able to acknowledge that you saw it – please. Praying for you, your family, and ministry! prayrosary4life@gmail.com

Dieting based on my personal experience is a temporary fix that meant starving myself. I lost the most weight and maintained that weight loss when I started to eat healthier. Not an easy transition from my poor food eating habits but I slowly began to replace food that was bad for me with healthier food. I visited my local organic food market and experimented with different foods and desserts. Most important learning to love myself as I was helped me not eat over emotions. The desire to be around to see my grandchildren growup was the foundation for me wanting to change my lifestyle.

Lydia, me too had the desire to be around my then 7 y/o daughter who said that she wants to be professional tennis player, I was already suffering from health issues and when I heard her, I said we need to be healthy to witness her achieve her goal.
I had lost wt and was able to get off my meds and had left hosp nursing job to be a wellness coach. Now my daughter is 16 yrs old and my whole family is into healthy lifestyle. It’s a joy to help people improve their health by bringing awareness that whole foods can make a big difference in health.
