If you do the math (and yes we did), based on the current world population of 7 billion, every single person on earth spends an average of 1.5 minutes EVERY DAY on Facebook! Wow… that’s a staggering thought, and although not everyone is on Facebook or even has Internet access, if you take the worldwide figure of 10.5 billion minutes spent on the social media site daily, that adds up to a LOT of people who willingly choose virtual friendships over the “real thing.” So what do we get from all those online “friends” – support, emotional connection, commitment or just carpal tunnel syndrome?
