What a wild ride this year has been! It’s hard to believe it is already New Year’s Eve. I am so excited for everything this New Year will bring for both of us.

This will be the year I’ll get to see you reach a whole new level of success. Do you understand that? I really do believe in you, and can’t wait to watch your family, your team, your staff and your clients succeed in the next twelve months!

Whether you already have goals and plans for the New Year or not, God has something to say about the next year of your life. Not only does He want you to succeed, but He actually tells you exactly HOW!

So what is God saying about your 2015 plans? Well, He has a LOT to say, but I just want to share 3 things with you right now.

1.  Commit your works to the Lord:
“Commit your works to the Lord and your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3)

Wow! It doesn’t get much simpler than that! You have these goals and plans – you want to pay off your debt, start a business, grow your existing business, get a new job, get promoted in your job, go on a long-awaited vacation, feed a thousand orphans this year, or even to have more time to spend with your family. Commit your works to the Lord and your plans WILL succeed.

2.  Seek wise counsel:
“Without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many counselors they succeed.” (Proverbs 15:22)

In 2015, you need to surround yourself with people who will speak positive life into you. You must have people who you can call and say, “Hey, this is what I’m thinking about. This is what I’d like to do. This is what God is doing in my life. Would you pray with me and for me about this?” And give those people the freedom to tell you exactly what they think, whether they agree with you or not.

Back in 2000, we moved out of the city and up into the mountains. I asked the Lord to send me a new friend. I asked for someone who wouldn’t need anything from me, but someone who would allow us to be mutually encouraging toward each other. I asked for someone who wouldn’t be afraid to speak into my life and hold me accountable.

After only a couple of months, God sent me the kind of friend I asked for. We held each other accountable and we spoke freely into each other’s lives. She is one of my very dear friends and she is still one of those wise counselors in my life. If you don’t have people in your life who will hold you accountable and speak positive life and give you guidance, ask God for them!

3.  Work diligently:
“The plans of the diligent lead surely to advantage, but everyone who is hasty comes surely to poverty.” (Proverbs 21:5)

The plans of the diligent will lead surely to advantage. Who are the ones who get promoted in their jobs? Those who work diligently. Who attracts more clients in their businesses? Those who work diligently. Who has great, healthy marriages and families? Those who are diligent.

If you are hasty, not taking care to do a great job, you will lead yourself into poverty. So this year, God is telling you to work diligently, and you will succeed.
