I believe that most of us know we are SUPPOSED to be thankful for our spouse. We know we are supposed to be kind, supportive, encouraging and loving. Think about how easy it was on your wedding day!
But what happens to many of us is that instead of continuing to show that appreciation to our spouse, we put a bunch of expectations on them instead. We start seeing everything they’re NOT doing. We see all the things we do, and that gratitude turns into frustration, bitterness and resentfulness.
In this episode, Dani is talking about why it’s better to do the hard thing and focus on being THANKFUL for your spouse, even when you really don’t want to.
In This Episode You Will Learn:
- How unspoken expectations and wanting our spouse to always understand us creates walls inside of a marriage.
- A simple exercise that can radically change your marriage in a very short period of time.
- Why it’s so important to pour kindness, gratitude, appreciation and love into your marriage EVEN if you don’t think you’re getting it back in return.
