Finding Peace in the Midst of Chaos
“Passover is the time that gives power for the whole year for us to ‘leap over’ our limitations: mental, physical, and even spiritual. It is during this time that we have left our slave masters of Egypt to be owned by our one true master: God. It is in being owned by God that we find ultimate freedom.”
Passover (or “Pesach” in Hebrew) is one of the world’s most sacred and widely observed holidays in not only the Jewish faith, but in many of the world’s religions.
According to author Menachem Levison, “Passover is the time that gives power for the whole year for us to ‘leap over’ our limitations: mental, physical, and even spiritual. It is during this time that we have left our slave masters of Egypt to be owned by our one true master: God. It is in being owned by God that we find ultimate freedom.”
Think about this for a minute: this year, Passover coincides with one of the most challenging and chaotic times in modern history. This can’t be a coincidence, can it?
In her most recent Spiritual Equipping session, Dani explained that Passover is a time to focus on breaking free from those things that bind us and hold us down. It’s the time to break free of bondage – whether we’re bound by unhealthy relationships, drugs or alcohol, money, or the relentless pursuit of “more.”
During Passover, we are able to focus on renewal; a “spring cleaning” of all those things that hold us down. We work to overcome our limitations. When we free ourselves from those things that hold us down and bind us, we are able to focus on what is truly important. We can put the past behind us and move forward, knowing that God is with us. Passover is the time when renewal happens.
If you’re looking for assistance in staying focused while holding on to faith, Dani’s Spirit Driven Success Series can help. You’ll learn how to open the doors to God’s vision for your life and the keys to unlocking your true destiny. When you’re ready, you can order this inspirational program here.
This is a time of unprecidented change, uncertainty, and confusion. However, Passover is the perfect time to mute the noise, break free from the bondage of despair, and embrace this season of renewal.
It is during this time that hope and strength can be found in what Dani calls, “the best success book ever written.” Here are just a few passages to help remind us who is in control:
Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
Proverbs 18:10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.
Nehemiah 8:10 Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Exodus 15:2 The Lord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. This is my God, and I will praise him—my father’s God, and I will exalt him!
Psalm 9:9-10 The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
Psalm 34:10 Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.
All of us at Team DJC wish you peace, strength, and courage.
