Do You Have “Customers” Or “Clients”?
A customer is an impersonal consumer who exchanges money for your product or service…with no hint of a relationship. Walmart has customers. YOU have clients! Clients deserve a personally unique experience!
How are you today? And while your answer may be “fine”… chances are you’re speaking of your physical well-being. Today, let’s talk about your spiritual health. Have you ever noticed that when you’re in a bad place spiritually, everything else seems to be a total mess? I’m not sure about you, but I know that’s how it is for me! Let’s work on filling up our “faith tank” this morning so we can finish this week, and this year, on a strong, healthy note.
“Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,” (I Corinthians 13:4). A while ago, I talked about how the first part of this biblical passage describes love as patient. If you read just a little bit more, the right up there in second place, love is described as kind.
Have you noticed today this world is so hostile? It seems like a crazy fluke when someone is actually nice to you, right? You expect people to be rude in public, for the cashier not to make eye contact or for someone to cut you off in traffic!
What I noticed beyond that, totally convicted me that my heart has become so hardened, I sometimes don’t even see kindness even when it’s right around me. I am so caught up in my own head or distracted by my own life, I don’t actually recall if the cashier smiled or not. Maybe they were being nice to me and I didn’t receive it! The kindness went ignored.
Do I expect others to be kind to me without even being kind, present and respectful to them? It’s very likely, especially if you’re the type who is convinced everyone in the world is rude and out to “get you,” that you are ignoring tokens of kindness all around you.
When someone is kind, when they smile at you, when they acknowledge and respect you, it feels good… right? It’s a small blessing that fills your confidence and sometimes even makes your day! If you’re ignoring those small tokens, you are missing that blessing.
I encourage you today to awaken your heart. Start being the vessel of kindness to others and watch what you inspire. It will motivate you, uplift you and bring light to this hostile world.
Let me know what little tokens of kindness you are spreading daily to inspire others in the comments below. Then, hit Like and Share on today’s post to make sure your friends and family take part in this passing of kindness.
What you feed will flourish and what you neglect will die. Feed your faith with us today on The Dani Johnson Show at 12 pm ET and again 7 pm ET. Tune into the show on either your TV or radio and please remember you can always stream today’s show right on our website.
In great faith,

Everyone’s definition of what success looks like is different! And maybe you’ve been on this journey and never stopped to think about success means or looks like for you, but you just KNOW there is more to life than what you’re doing now.
